The main building of the Castle Hellbrunn Palace Hellbrunn or (which is actually more like a mansion than a palace - it is still one of the most important sights of Salzburg), was built between 1613 and 1615 is of rectangular shape with two front corner pavilions. The three floors are delimited front of the so-called decorations "Kordongesimse". A very long driveway connects the city of Salzburg Hellbrunn. Double staircase leads to the main gate entrance of the Castle Hellbrunn. Under the staircase there is a fountain grotto by Santino Solari. On the first floor there are Hellbrunn Palace "Rooms Prince" - Fürstenzimmer. This part was decorated by Arsenio Mascagni in 1615 Italian painted walls and ceiling with different scenes and 12 gold Caesars. In a similar way, Mascagni painted octagonal room "Musikzimmer" or "Octagon", a dedicated music room, which adjoins Fürstenzimmer.
In front of the Palace Hellbrunn, you will find "Ehrenhof" (court of honor), a court that increasingly widens as you approach the palace. During Christmas, here is organizing a very popular Christmas market. "Ziergarten" or Pleasure Garden behind Hellbrunn Palace was opened in the 17th century. Garden center is marked by a pond where there is a small rectangular island. Floral arrangements were initially baroque but later was changed repeatedly. Two obelisks in the west of Grandin is all that remains of the original design of 1730.
Fame Hellbrunn Palace was on the gardens and fountains that can be found here. In the park there are wells, fountains, ponds, five artificial grottoes, sculptures and statues. The entire area around the Castle Hellbrunn is a kind of Disneyland Baroque, created with the sole purpose of you enjoy the rich Prince Archbishop of Salzburg and guests.
